Planterra

Planterra strives to provide the arboriculture, landscape and horticulture industries with the expertise and support to develop and maintain our landscapes and urban forests.  Through sustainable practices, community involvement, and education we are committed to establishing long term relationships through team building, service, integrity, innovation and communication.

Helping to create solutions to the many issues that arise in the design to construction to maintenance of our landscapes and forests is all about relationships.  Planterra brings years of experience and a team of experts to every project or need.  A long-term perspective is needed in the design and management of the urban forests and landscapes.

We understand the aesthetic goals of the design team.  The landscape and property values will only appreciate when the trees and the entire plant palette of the landscape design, in conjunction with the various hardscape and natural site amenities, are designed and installed properly.  The environmental benefits of oxygen production, pollution reduction, energy savings, and noise reduction are many from the healthy urban forest and landscape.

TREE RISK ASSESMENT

Tree Risk Assessment

Well-maintained, mature trees can account for an important portion of a home’s market value and curb appeal. In urban and suburban areas, unhealthy or damaged trees can present a significant risk to people and property. If you have questions about the health and safety of your trees, we can help you manage tree risk with a formal tree risk assessment.

Tree Protection Plans

A Tree Protection Plan is a plan which outlines specific measures to protect trees during construction or other site disturbance. The Tree Protection Plan also addresses requirements for offsetting or mitigating impacts to protected trees, such as transplanting or planting replacement trees.

Monitoring & Inventory

The inventory documents plant type, size, location, and condition at time of inspection.

Diagnosis & Treatment

Oftentimes shrubs suffer casualties, or fall ill from disease for a variety of reasons. Proper plant disease identification is crucial to the survival of shrubs and trees or other plants. Depending on the specific type of shrub affected, the plant disease, diagnosis and treatment will all vary.
